Town v Dag & Red: More points lost

As Swindon Town were denied a blatant penalty in the dying moments of Saturday’s game, it ended a perfect opportunity to gain an advantage on our relegation rivals as results elsewhere all went in our favour. Paul Caddis was clearly fouled by two Dagenham & Redbridge defenders, yet bizarely referee Sutton or even his well-sighted assistant didn’t see fit to award the penalty.

2010 STFC Review: December

First off… A Happy New Year to all Washbag Blog readers. Here’s hoping today’s game with AFC Bournemouth is a success and firmly sets a positive start for STFC in 2011. December was dominated by the weather so only 3 games were played. Town bounced back from a patchy November league form with a crucial three points with a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Town v Colchester: Officials Nearly Cost Town 3 Points

Colchester United lost 2-1 at The County Ground in a match marred by refereeing errors and serious oversights, however the quality of the football fortunately didn’t suffer as Town finally found the gear we’ve been lacking over recent weeks.
