New deal…or no deal?

Following on from the release of Alan O’Brien and Thomas Dossevi, there are nine other Swindon Town players out of contract at the end of the season. We all know about Alan Sheehan’s lack of commitment to the club after going without permission to play for Preston North End in a trial match, but what about the rest, do they

Transfer window chaos – It’s nothing new…

The much maligned transfer window closed at 11pm on Monday. Two windows a season have been a fixture of domestic football throughout Europe now since 2002/2003. They were introduced following requirements for football governing bodies to further conform to European Commission regulations concerning restriction of the movement of players, as many national football associations had different rules and regulations. Or is it just me that I’m now starting to look for a scapegoat following our more than disappointing start to the season? Have we won a game where Douglas has been captain? Don’t get me wrong, I really admire what he has brought to the team

Ball joins on a 6 month loan until 12th January 2011 and joins Town just in time for the pre-season tour to Austria after tomorrow night’s game at Swindon Supermarine. With Alex Henshall recently

Second Signing: David Prutton

David Prutton has become Danny Wilson’s second new signing for 2010/2011. The 28 year old central midfielder joins Town with vast experience, having played 317 Football League games and scored 18 goals. Prutton excelled earlier in his career, first at Nottingham Forest then at Southampton in the Premier League following a £2.5M transfer in 2003. Since then Prutton has established
