His contract is due to expire at the end of the season and as he has failed to make an impact in the first team in 2009/2010 following a long-standing back injury, his departure would come as no real surprise to many. Perhaps it is sentimental to wish to keep ‘Peaks’ given his willingness to spearhead and work for the team during our most recent turbulent period during Iffy’s reign and our season in League Two. Although we need to be forward thinking and to free up the wage budget to allow Danny to strengthen for our League One run-in, a very busy schedule due to the postponements. A move to another team in the South is likely for Peacock, potentially Cheltenham. At 33 he still has a season or two before he hangs up his boots and all the best to him.
