Yesterday the Football League AGM ratified rules for the 2010/2011 season. From next season clubs are required to name 10 “home-grown” players in a squad, with a maximum squad size of 25 players aged over 21. There are no to be restrictions on players under 21. This afternoon Town were away at Colchester United in our first of two matches against fellow promotion contenders. Colchester had failed to win in eight games (since February) and have slipped out of the play-off places following Huddersfield’s mid-week win against Oldham. Charlton – 2 points dropped (again)

Whilst the talk this morning is of a lack of fitness against Charlton, which resulted in Town surrendering their single goal lead on Staurday.  There was more to this defeat than fitness, exposing an awful lot about Wilson and the squad. Peacock joins Grimsby

Lee Peacock has today signed for Grimsby Town.  The League Two side currently sit in 23rd place with 19 points, 6 points adrift of Cheltenham and perhaps a certainty for Conference football next season along-with Darlington.
