The Value of Charlie Austin

Now the transfer window has closed we are assured of seeing Charlie Austin in a Town no.32 until at least January. After other clubs had previously made their interest known, Championship side Millwall tried and failed with a £600,000 deadline day bid for Austin. This figure certainly represents a significant increase above the (up to) £50,000 that Town paid for Austin less than twelve months

Vincent Pericard Finally Scores for Swindon Town in Trophy Win

I’m pinching myself. I can’t believe I’m finally writing it. After 230 days…5,516 hours…21 matches…only 3 starts.. and 465 minutes of first team action, our eternal substitute and luckless Vincent Pericard has finally opened his account for Swindon Town. Final Disappointment

I’m at a bit of a loss what to write. Thoroughly disappointed is perhaps the most apt way to describe my emotions at the final whistle, as Town players laid dejected and spread on the Wembley pitch, soundly beaten. Yesterday morning was full of excitement, not nervousness as I’d thought. Before I knew it, we’d arrived at Wembley Stadium Station and in the shadow of the arch,
