Swindon 4 Wimbledon 1 – Football League Division Three 29th August 1981 Swindon get off to a flying start to the 1981/82 season – goals from Carter, Graham, Hughes and Greenwood giving John Trollope’s men a 4-1 victory over the Dons. The flying start wasn’t to last as Town finished 22nd and were relegated to Division Four for the first time in our history.
