STFC Media Ban Survey

Our survey seeks your views on Swindon Town’s new media strategy, which is excluding journalists and limiting communication with supporters.
The club say they are “looking to start something different” with a new media strategy for the 2015/16 season which has resulted in all interviews being conducted in-house. These will then be publicised via the club’s official media channels and “also on a new an exciting media platform called Fanzai”. The strategy therefore restricts access to the club and players by local media sources and journalists, ensuring supporters are largely reliant upon the single source for information.
…will engage the fans and give them more of an insight into how the team and the club is run.
We’d welcome if you could complete our short survey, which is seeking your views on the club’s media strategy; the effectiveness of its implementation to-date; and whether the promises of new engagement with fans delivering a real insight into how the team and club is run are true.
The survey will close on Saturday 1st August 2015 and the results will be published the following week.

The Fanzai app doesn’t work properly on my phone. I’ve had to delete it. Let’s get back to media coverage the way it used to be.

Can’t help thinking these questions are somewhat loaded. I think we know what the outcome is going to be eh? And it’s not possible to have a view on how you think Fanzai performs as an app if you answer ‘No’ to question five… and if you don’t give an answer to a question you can’t file your survey.
