Town v Millwall

Whatever happened at The New Den, the Leeds United result ultimately would determine which team was promoted. For a few moments after Leeds had gone down to 10 men it seemed the  impossible may happen and Rovers may defeat Leeds or at least hold them to a draw. Shortly after half time news of Rovers going 1-0 up fed through

Town v Wycombe

I’ve been away on holiday for the past couple of days, so I completely missed the Wycombe game and followed the closing 20 minutes on BBC Score. Fortunately Iain was at the game, so thanks for this excellent match report. Town’s bid for second spot was realistically ended after a disappointing 2-2 draw at relegation-threatened Wycombe.  With Leeds and Millwall both winning

Wilson made two team changes with Morrison and Pericard in for Greer and Austin who drop to the bench. Morrisons mistake led to the opening goal after 90 seconds with Wilbraham taking the

Rampant Rovers

Yesterday we were promised the bragging rights to banish the memory of the 3-0 defeat against Bristol Rovers at the Memorial earlier this season.  However, our 4-0 home defeat shows you can take nothing for granted and, when Swindon lose this season they surely know how to do it in style. To say Swindon played poorly would be very disrespectful to

January Transfer Window

In the Radio Wiltshire phone-in this evening, Danny Wilson commented on the lack of transfer activity at Town during the January transfer window. Only Vincent Pericard has signed, with Danny Ward, Simon Ferry and Alan Sheehan’s loans extended to the end of the season. Wilson confirmed he couldn’t bring in a “quality of player” and so didn’t make a hasty move
