Player of the Month: August
Every month The Washbag will be awarding our ‘prestigious’ Swindon Player of the Month.
Each monthly winner will then be eligible for your vote in May to decide the Player of the Season, who will win the coveted Fraser Digby Tortoiseshell Comb Award.
The panel will consist of The Washbag regulars plus some familiar names. Onto the August votes…
Alex Cooke – Quick, strong and impervious to elbows, Aden Flint is a Titan and has saved more bacon than a Jewish animal rights activist.
Johno’ – Aden Flint. He’s been one of the few players who has settled into the side and showed promise. Been a rock at the back at such a young age.
Vic Morgan – Aden Flint. Solid, reliable and assured.
Gary Rose – Aden Flint by a country mile!
Andrew Steele-Davis – Aden Flint has been a rising star in Town’s defence in August, his aerial prowess benefiting the team at both ends of the pitch.
Doesn’t look like I’ll need my casting vote…
Ron – Obviously ‘man mountain’ Aden Flint. Should we send a letter of thanks for signing him to Danny Wilson..?
Well done Aden a deserved clean sweep from us. Shame you didn’t have any competition this month. Pass the message on to the rest to pull their socks up!

Well deserved.
By a Country Mile indeed. Consistency was key and no-one came even close to be in contention. Worrying… Let’s hope next month is a closer affair.
