During the commentary on the 3-0 victory over a happless Leeds United this afternoon, Town Chairman Andrew Fitton revealed he is planning a trip to Scotland next weekend to watch Celtic and meet with their Board to ‘cememt our relationship’.

Following Tony Mowbray leaving Parkhead two weeks ago, Town need to work to retain the positive partnership between the two clubs, which has seen Town bring Ferry and Hutchinson in on loan and sign Cuthbert in the summer.

Fitton did not deny the primary purpose of the trip was to strike an agreement with Celtic to sign Ferry. Ferry has been ever-present for Town in central midfield with Douglas this season and has admitted on several occasions this season he would be deligted to join Town on a perminent basis. If his signing can be agreed this would represent a major coup for Town.
