Well done to Billy Paynter who fully deserves winning the League One Player of the Month Award for January.

5 goals in 4 games is a terrific return for Paynter who struggled for form in the early part of the season.

Successful penalties make up a significant part of Paynter’s 17 goals in all competitions this season.  These have been such a crucial contribution, showing his calmness in-front of goal and often key to a win.

It has been a good January for Paynter who’s partner (not Charlie!) gave birth to a baby girl.
