Has Di Canio yet to play his trump card?

Nearly a week into Swindon Town’s tour of Italy, and there’s a distinct lack of any new permanent signings to add to Comazzi, De Vita, Devera, Smith and Lanzano. Some remain concerned and eager to see the starting XI confirmed, perhaps more in anticipation of sorting out which player’s name and number to have on the back of their new Town shirt.

Factfile: Hugo Bargas

Hugo Christophe Bargas (born 22 October 1986 in Lyon) is a French / Argentine left footed striker and son of former Argintina International Ángel Bargas. Not scouting for boys: Have Swindon given up signing young talent?

New writer Alex Cooke gives his view on one of the least talked about summer departures. “If we’ve ever spent good money on one individual then it’s been Ken, he’s been absolutely outstanding.” At this point you are probably racking your brain to work out which Ken then caretaker boss David Byrne was eulogising to the Evening Advertiser about back in 2008.
