2010 STFC Review: January

And what a year it has been! A year of the proverbial two halves. After spending January to May fighting for promotion, Town now find themselves looking up and down, more than touching distance away from mounting a real promotion challenge. January 2010 started with around 6,000 Town fans travelling to Fulham for the FA Cup 3rd Round tie and created a truly fantastic atmosphere.

Wednesday protest falls on deaf ears

Wednesday are continuing to smart following the circumstances surrounding their equaliser. Lax Town defending allowed Lewis Buxton space in the box, only to be sent tumbling when rounding keeper Phil Smith. Players momentarily paused seeming to wait for the referee to award a penalty, only for the referee to signal advantage, allowing Clinton Morrison to put the ball into an empty net.
