Tough one tonight. Rooney did make the difference but Benson has to be applauded for his quality and persistence. Tempted to vote Risser though mainly to annoy the man behind me who booed every touch, except for that excellent tackle deep in the second half which he just claimed was by Flint – despite him being 20 yard away.
Some fans beggar belief. One behind me was constantly swearing at and abusing Ritchie insisting he missed the penalty on purpose. I think the club should introduce a football knowledge test before allowing people into the County Ground.
If that test was applied then not only would our attendance take a nose dive, but we wouldn’t have a referee to officiate the match…
